To use this script, you call scr_pattern_init in the create event of your enemy object. Scr_pattern_init asks for 15 variables, and those all determine how your bullet pattern will look. Then, in the step event of your enemy object, you will call scr_bullet_pattern. This script requires no variables of its own, since it uses the variables defined in scr_pattern_init. In my video, I built a menu system that let me live modify the variables so I could easily show the different effects changing variables would have. If you would like, I could link you that particular test object, and you could import it to your project. Hey, whenever I try to run the program with your scripts I get a Fatal Error that says the following: FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event0 for object obj_pattern_test_enemy: Push:: Execution Error - Variable Get 100000.bullets(100000, -) at gml_Script_bhpg_pattern_step (line 4) - bb = max(1,bullets-1); stack frame is gml_Script_bhpg_pattern_step (line 4) called from - gml_Object_obj_pattern_test_enemy_StepNormalEvent_1 (line 1) - bhpg_pattern_step(); Even after I followed your instructions below to recreate your Pattern Generator room, I received this error.
